I am sure that you all know that President Bush was here this week. Having to be out in the same area though, I felt like everything was crazy. Driving anywhere was insane, and I swear that every cop in Utah was downtown this week. I have never seen so many police escorted cars before. Bush also stayed at the Grand America Hotel, which I have to pass as I go to the bank each morning. They blocked off half of the street for the cop cars to have somewhere to park, and then there were cops about every five feet. And not just one, but two or three. It was insane. It took me an extra half hour just to get up the street Thursday morning. Traffic was already bad the days before with everyone trying to get to the Delta Center, etc... but it got worse.
The most interesting thing for me to witness, though, were all of the people. Since I had to work, I don't really know how any of these rallies went, but I got to see all of the people coming and going up and down the street. Everyone was carrying an American flag, but most had protest signs as well. They said things like" Bush you have Blood on your hands" and "Anyone for a new president." It was crazy. I am sure that you all know a lot more about what was going on then I do, but there is my two cents.

Wish I could have been in Salt Lake to join the protest. Sounds like it would have been fun to rub shoulders with Rocky.
