Day for Car Accidents

The morning started slow, with I-215 closed from a chemical spill near I-80. Then as I finally got to 4th South, there was a car upside down! That is only the second time that I have ever seen that happen in real life. Then, on my way home during rush hour, we came to a complete stop a couple of times, so I knew there was another accident up ahead. When we finally passed it, it turned out that a Honda had rear-ended a truck. Obviously, the truck won. The Honda was totaled, and the truck looked like it had barely been scratched. And Sassy got me safely through all of it. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SASSY!

Sassy has been my faithful car for three years now! We have never gotten into a car accident, even though we did get stuck in the driveway. Two tickets later and a liscence on probabtion, we still make a good team! Even if her lights do like to be completely dumb every once in a while, I still love my car! Thanks for keeping me safe, Sassy!

The Shakespearean Festival

Well, Mom and I just got back from the Shakespearean Festival today. We had so much fun! The first night we went and saw Antony and Cleopatra. It was excellent. The only complaint that we had was that Antony really needed to speak up so that we could hear him better. Mom had never read the play, so half the time she didn't know what was happening because she couldn't hear him. Cleopatra was so funny. One of my favorite parts of hers was when she almost killed the messenger for telling her that Antony got re-married. Mom and I were both really impressed with the actor that played Caesar as well. He was very convincing. Either he played Caesar exactly as I pictured him, or I think I have seen him somewhere before because I swear I know him...

The next day we saw the Merry Wives of Windsor. It was so funny and the acting again was amazing! Better yet, half of the people that were in it had been in the play we had seen the night before. We couldn't believe it! They were so good. Not only were they convincing in the roles they were playing, but they were completely different from the ones the night before. Caesar, from the night before, was in this play too. He had a completely different accent that he didn't loose throughout the entire play. I was very impressed. We laughed through the entire thing.

That night, we saw Hamlet. It was really good and everyone in it did an excellent job. Hamlet was amazing and Ophellia was very convincing being crazy. Allison's favorite scene is the one where the Player King is performing, and who else is playing the Player King, but Caesar! He was so good at it that Allison didn't even realize that it was the same person until I pointed it out to her. The entire play was so good. I would recommend it to anyone that is interested.

After the play, I saw Caesar again! I ran after him to tell him that I thought he was amazing. Allison was disappointed that I didn't get his number or give him mine. He was really nice though. He said that I had made his weekend.

All in all, we had a great time. I am only sorry that more of you hadn't come with us. You missed out!

Layla

I have been having a hard time at work this week. After I left Century, I got my friend Layla a job with me at Baskin so that she could leave Century too. She worked really hard at Century, so I didn't think there would be any problem having her work with me at Baskin. However, once she got the job at Baskin, she made friends with everyone, and basically now comes to work to talk.

Problems between me and her started the day that we went to the PCD and BEP concert. She had forgotten which day we were going, and took someone else's shift for that night. I noticed about a week before that she had done that, and told her so, but she didn't try to get it off until that day. Of course no one would work for her, and my boss was out of town so I was basically running my store. She asked me if she could just not go in and I told her that she had to get it covered. She eventually did, or so she made me think. She plotted with another girl to make it seem like she was going to come in and cover for her, and then neither one of them came in. She got into the store before me when we came back and told the people working not to tell me that the other girl hadn't come in. The other girl, her name is Shar, was supposed to have clocked in and everything so that I wouldn't know. They forgot that detail though, so I eventually figured out what she had done. When I tried to confront her about it, she just said that she didn't want to talk to me right now. Then, so that we could still work together, I let it drop. After I told my boss, of course.

So, we haven't been good friends since that week, but things got really bad this week. On the 4th of July, I had to work from 8-2 and then go back and work from 7-11. Layla was the person that came in at 2. Everything was done, all ice cream had been stocked, and everything else, except for dipped Waffle Cones. I asked them to make sure that they got some done for the upcoming holiday night. When I had to go back 5 hours later, they still weren't done, and Layla was sitting down talking to her friends. After about 15 minutes of that, I asked her to dip cones while she was talking. She blew up at me! She said that she got a job here because we used to be friends and that I have changed so much since then. She said that she hated it when I told her that she was doing nothing, and I told her that she had added that part in because I hadn't said that. I told her that I was just doing my job and the cones needed to get done. Later, I went up to her and told her that I didn't want to fight with her, and she said that she didn't want to talk to me right now. Even though I tried to fix things with her, she wouldn't even look at me when I would talk to her. She says that we aren't friends anymore and says other mean things to me that I am trying to not let get to me. Like saying "I am not even worth talking to."

My boss gave me the ability to fire her yesterday, but I didn't do it. Even though she doesn't work well, and she might be stealing money from the store, if I am the one that fires her, she will only think that it was because I was mad at her. But, work has sucked for me this week because of her.

Baby Pictures

Ha Ha! I finally figured out how to add pictures too! This is one I took of Kameryn when I was babysitting her. However, as soon as I took it she woke up because she knew that I had flashed her again!

Idiot

Last week, a man came into Baskin and asked for my boss. I told him that my boss was out of town, so the guy handed me a bunch of papers saying that Justin had to pay for the damage done to his car in our parking lot. I automatically assumed that he meant that another car had hit him, so I asked him why Justin was liable for the damage. He took me outside and showed me our cement barriers that make it so that you can't drive into the Wendy's drive through. Apparently the man hit them, denting his front bumper and he wants my boss to pay for it. The bill was around $600 dollars for fixing the bumper and the paint job over it. I was kind of looking at the guy like he was a moron and told him that I would let Justin know about it. The man got all pissy and said that he wouldn't come down here and make a fuss if Justin wasn't liable for it. He said that the cement barriers were installed wrong so that they come up to high, and enough other people had hit them that they were all jagged. I was still thinking that he was an idiot for running into them, but I told him again that I would let Justin know. He said that if Justin didn't pay for it, then he would come back and have his lawyer talk to both of us, because apparently, I was being snotty. Good luck suing me for that one buddy.
