Since all of my sisters did this, I thought I should maybe do it too.
1. I can't STAND to have any sort of writing on me. Even if it was just an accidental pen mark on my skin, it DRIVES ME NUTS! This also extends to the colorful dyes I use at work, lipstick, and fingernail polish. I can only get my nails painted if they are clear. I don't know why. I just can't stand it.
2. I can't eat anything that I think is old. I ALWAYS check to see if there is mold growing on my bread or cheese, and I always check when the milk expires. Even if my leftovers still look appetizing, I won't eat them if I think they might have been sitting there too long.
3. After I take a shower, I fill up the bath tub and lay in the hot water. If there is ever a day when I am in a hurry, I have the HARDEST time not doing this. I started it to help ease the tension in my back, and laying there also pops my back on its own. It also helps me if I have a sore throat.
4. I have a movie addiction. I know that you guys kind of know that, but buying movies helps me feel better when I am in a bad mood even if I don't watch any of the ones that I bought. I also have a hard time not buying a movie that I really wanted to see, but hated it once I saw it. Even though I HATED Alexander and I thought Eragon blew, I still have to remind myself not to buy them when I see them in the store. There are a lot of movies that I had to buy the day that they came out, and I haven't watched them since I saw them in theaters.
5. I make lists of everything that I have to do while I am at work and cross it off as I go so that I can feel like I have gotten something done during the day. If I do something that wasn't on my list, I add it on and cross it off so that I can have the visual reinforcement.

I think it's halarious because 3 of the 5 here are also true of me. I HATE pen marks on me, I won't eat anything I think is old, and I ALWAYS make lists. I especially love the fact that you'll write something on the list just so you can cross it off. I'm that exact same way. I think we get it from our mom. I also don't like to have items on my list that are too broad, like "Clean the Bathroom." I'll make sub-catagories like "Mirror, Toilet, Sink, Tub" so that I don't have to do ALL the work and only get to cross off one thing.
I have the same addiction to movies and books. I have movies that I bought years ago that I still haven't opened. By the time I get around to watching them I probably won't have a VCR anymore that I could watch them on. I also have tons of books that I have yet to read but my feelings are that it is like stamp collecting. People who collect stamps aren't expected to use them and mail them so just because I collect movies and books doesn't mean that I have to watch or read them all. Hopefully I'll live long enough that I'll get around to it anyway but it doesn't prevent me from buying more. ntd
I'm in the movie/book boat with Kitty and Nolana.
I also had to laugh about the list-making, because (surprise, surprise) I'm exactly the same. I also add things that I did and cross them out, just so "everyone" knows I'm not a slacker.
Here are a few of my thoughts: If you don't like anything on your body, you are NOT a good candidate for a tattoo. Is this also why you've never pierced your ears?
I think your bad back has something to do with your bad, really old, hand-me-down bed mattress. I think if you got a new one, you'd see a lot of improvement in your back.
Buying things when you're in a bad mood... this totally proves that we are sisters. I always want to shop when I'm in a bad mood, too. I also like to spend money when I don't have it because I don't like to feel poor. Realizing that spending money when I don't have it creates more of a deficit, I've cured myself a little bit of that habit.
I also think that your movie fetish is a bit of a competition to have it all. That's why you wantn to buy the ones you didn't even like. You're very competitive and you want to WIN. ;) The way you're going, you just might.
I don't care for lists. However, I love marking things 'DONE' from my 'TO DO' list at work. That said, I also hate my TO DO list...
