Cakes!

I know that I always blog about the bad days at work, and how I hate the dumb people that Baskin seems to attract, so I thought I would add a blog about some of the things that I like about it. I love the days when people notice what a great job that I do. I appreciate it when customers come in, and they actually have been to a few of the other stores too, and they comment on how clean our store is, how consistant the products are and how good our customer service is. I love the days when everyone tips me, so I bring home nearly twenty bucks. I keep a jar in my room full of my tip money and it really adds up.

Justin, my boss, recently just won an award for my store. We are the store with the second most sales increase in Utah. Justin's dad even plotted out my progress in cakes sales over the last year. Whenever he sees me, he always tells me what a great job I am doing, and that if I ever need anything to let them know. "We'll take care of you." is what he likes to say. I love feeling appreciated.

Most of all, I LOVE decorating the cakes. As Xena would say, "It gets my creative juices flowing." I had an order for a cake today. They wanted a fullsheet mint chocolate chip on chocolate, frosted chocolate with green and purple flowers. This is what that cake ended up looking like:

Then just for fun, I made this cake:

Most days, I really do love my job.

Your cakes are fun, Chelsee, and you definitely do a good job! I loved the one you made for Isaac's shower. :)

Yummy....you make me hungry...Now I am commenting on your page Chelsee! :) :) :) :) The second one really looks good. I think I need to go into Baskins on my next visit home. But miraclously I didn't go in last time I was home! I made it a goal to not go in for one entire trip down and I finally did it! I miss good ice cream. My waist line doesn't, but my taste buds sure do! Have fun letting the creative juices flow!
P.S.I got my wireless to work on campus! I really like wireless internet!
