SHE CRAWLED!!!

Yesterday, Kameryn crawled all by herself!!! I was watching a movie, and Kameryn was on a blanket with some of her toys. One of her toys went out of her reach, so she flipped over and crawled to it. Luckily, Kjersti had come into my room to talk to me for a minute and so she saw it happen. She went and told Jay, and Jay said that I wasn't allowed to watch Kameryn anymore since I was teaching her how to crawl. Kjersti told him that I had had nothing to do with it. He then came in and we made her do it again. It still takes her a little while. She isn't zooming around yet, but she is definately getting the hang of it down!!!

SPOILED ROTTEN!!

Christmas this year was a complete sucess! Both babies were thoroughly spoiled with presents ranging from high chairs, to books, to Disney movies to toys. The Christmas tree was almost covered in the Christmas presents piled under it and after Santa came, there was barely enough room for all of the family to be in the same room as all of those presents! It took two full hours to unwrap and then dig our way out of the room. We filed up three garabage bags just from wrapping paper! And, as usual, once the stockings were unloaded, there is no possible way to get everything that came out of them back into it! Even the babies got great stockings! It is always a lot of fun to spend the day with the family, and I think that the babies first Christmas turned out rather well. Thanks Mom! You did an excellent job!!!

Caught! :)

The man that was robbing the Baskin Robbins stores, along with a few others, was finally caught yesterday morning. I don't really know any of the details, but I wanted everyone to know that he is off the streets! I certainly hope the small amount of money he got is worth the jail time!!!

Baskin Robbins Robbery

Monday, the Baskin Robbins in Holiday was robbed by a man with red hair and a red moustache. He sat outside the store and watched for a while, went in and ordered, and then said he had to go back out to his car to get his money. When he came back in, he had a knife and robbed them.

I was at Kjersti's house when I saw this on the news. Justin's two new stores are the Taylorsville and West Valley stores, so it wasn't his store that got robbed. I called him and asked him about it anyways though. He said that he wouldn't have put it on the news. He said that it causes more problems to have people know that someone got away with robbing the store, then by putting the description of the guy out there. We both agreed that the guy had to be completely dumb to rob and ice cream store in the middle of the winter though. I found out later that the guy only got $70.

However, Tuesday night, he also robbed Justin's Sugarhouse Baskin. When Justin called the police, they told him that the same guy had also robbed three other stores earlier that day. He is probably not going to stop until he gets caught. not having learned his lesson from robbing the other Baskin, though, the guy only got $50. I sure hope that's worth the jail time. Maybe it will help him post bail...

Eragon

On a scale of one to five, I would give Eragon about a three. I was extremely excited for this movie, but it really just didn't meet my expectations at all. First of all, it is really short! It is only 1 hr. and 40 minutes long, and trying to do an entire book justice in that amount of time is impossible. I felt like the movie was about 5 minutes long, and I had already seen the first 3 minutes in the trailers. The most important thing lost in this short movie was character development. I haven't read the book, so I wasn't overly effected by characters dying and I didn't feel a real sense of dread as the army is coming to attack the rebel city. I don't even remember the names of almost any of the main characters, and that usually isn't hard for me. I thought the effects were done well, and the acting was pretty good, but the whole story line just went too fast to have any real effect on me.

I will have to read the book to know for sure, but the storyline felt so completely predictable to me. I don't know if it was just how many fantasy books I have read, or if it was just the direction of the movie, but I already knew what was going to happen to most of these characters.

The music is done by Patrick Doyle. He is the same composer that wrote the music for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I think he did a really good job with this score.

So, all in all, I think that it was just okay. For my siblings with babies, I would say just wait to see it when it comes out on video instead of trying to get a babysitter or taking them with you. I would still see it, but maybe wait a little while. And, Allie, I heard that you are going to see it tomorrow, so please let me know what you thought about it too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MOMMA!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! I had a great time at your birthday dinner and opening presents. I hope you had a great day! I love you!!!!!

The Tree is Up!!!

I always love it when the tree goes up! I love reading just by the light of the tree, and I have many memories that go along with it too. It looks excellent every year, but like mom said, it is a different tree every year. I also loved showing the Christmas tree to Kameryn. She was mesmorized by all of the colors and started to get so excited. I even showed her some of the presents under the tree from her Aunt Chelsee.

And, then just because I don't have enough pictures of baby Isaac up, here is another one that I wanted to show off!

The Holiday

Yesterday I went and saw the Holiday after I got off from work. I loved it! I have been really excited to see this movie, and it was even better than I thought it was going to be!

I am always worried about Cameron Diaz in a movie, but she is getting better and did a good job in this movie. Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black also did a great job! And even the supporting cast are well know actors. (Or at least I know them all.) Bur, Rufus Sewell is in it. He plays Marco in Dangerous Beauty. And Jack Black's girlfriend is the princess in a Knight's Tale, etc...

I could relate better with Kate Winslet then with Cameron Diaz, but part of what I loved about this movie was that there were things about both people that I could relate to. Even though there were basically four main characters, they all have great character development.

And, of course, the music is done by Hanz Zimmer! So, add this soundtrack to my Christmas List!

There are also funny movie jokes along in it. It was interesting to see who in the audience caught them. It was generally a lot of the older people laughing. (Older meaning, not the 2 ten year-olds sitting close to me.) And, just for Allison, there is even a scene with James Franco.

I know it is a chick-flick, so Wesley probably wouldn't like it, but I would recommend it to anyone else. It is a feel-good movie that I really needed. (no one gets shot in the head in this one!) And, if anyone wants company, I would happily go with anyone and everyone! I was ready to see it again as soon as I walked out of the theatre!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEOFFREY!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEOFFREY! This is the cake that I made him. Just making it was making me sick and I haven't even had any yet!! Geoffrey wanted Oreo ice cream, with white cake. Then he said he wasn't picky, but he wanted a lot of the frosting border! When I asked him what kind of frosting, he said he liked the buttermilk frosting. So, all that white stuff that the oreos are in... yep, loads of buttermilf frosting. I hope everyone also grabs a HUGE cup of milk to help push all of this frosting down!! But, he's the birthday boy, so he can have what he wants. PG-16!!! I feel old.

Today is also baby Isaac's baby blessing. So, the family is all dressing up in our Sunday best and heading off to church this morning. I love you Danae! I hope that today goes how you hoped and that certain stupid in-laws don't mess it up for you!

And there was much rejoicing.... Yay....

Radio Called, Report Filed, Promise Kept

Every morning I listen to 97.1 on my way to go babysitting, and then driving him to school and again on the way to work. Every Friday, they bring in the Chief of the Salt Lake City Police Department and they do a segment called, "Ask Boe" where people call in and ask them their police related questions. This morning, that person was me. I called in and told them about my stalker and asked his advice for what to do. They helped me out and got me the right numbers to call in and file a police report.

After work today, I was able to call them and file a report. I even have a case number. The police office also gave me some advice about what to do, such as don't answer the phone by saying my name, etc... And he made sure that I wrote down my case number in case this guy keeps calling. Danae also recommended to me that I should get some pepper spray to keep with me. Even if this guy stops, I think that would make me feel safer in general in Salt Lake.

He called again!!

At 9:30 this morning, that creepy guy called again asking me if I wanted to talk dirty. I said, "Who is this?" He said that his name was Jake, and I commented on how his name had changed since yesterday. I asked him why he wanted to talk dirty and he said that I had a sexy voice. I asked if I knew him, and he said no. He said, "Don't you think it's hot to talk dirty to strangers?" I said, "No. I think it's creepy." He then was silent and I said, "Please don't call here anymore." And hung up.

What is really scary to me is that he didn't call after I got off yesterday, but then called me this morning when I was only there for two hours! I want to know how the hell he knew I would be working! I was so scared. I tried to call Justin and he didn't answer. I then looked up the police departments number, and they didn't answer! Then I called mom and told her what happened, and I just lost it. I started crying. This is really scaring me. And I work by myself most of the time.

Justin eventually called me back to and asked me if I had told the guy I was going to call the police. I said no and he wanted to know why not. I honestly spaced it. I was trying to remain calm when he was on the phone. Creepy guys that prank call people get a kick out of scaring people and I didn't want him to know that I was scared.

Creep!

Today was another day for creepy calls at Baskin. About ten minutes before I got off work, some guy called me. Sometimes my friends do call me on the store phone, so when the guy said, "Hey Chelsee, are you busy?" I wasn't really thinking anything of it. "I said, "Yeah a little." He said, "You are really? Does that mean I can't talk dirty to you?" I was having trouble hearing the phone, so I hoped that this guy hadn't said what I thought I had just heard, and I was still trying to figure out if this was someone I actually knew, so I walked into the backroom. He then said, "Did you go somewhere that no one can hear you so I can talk dirty to you?" I could hear everything he said when I walked into the back, and I realized that I had no idea who I was talking to, so I said, "Who is this?" He said that his name was Jessie and he wanted to talk dirty. I said no, and he wanted to know why not. At this point I hung up, EXTREMELY disturbed.

About 5 minutes later, he called me back. He wanted to know why I wouldn't let him talk dirty to me. I hung up without saying anything back to him. Then I called Justin. When the old owner had the store, she blocked everything that cost extra on the phone bill. No *69. I called Justin, told him what happened and asked if we could unblock it so that I could tell who was calling. He said that if it happened again we could call the phone company and turn the guy into the police. Luckily, the guy never called back.

I was thankful that the girl coming in after me actually showed up about ten minutes early, so she was there for the entire thing. It made me feel safer that she was there. It creeped us both out, but there is saftey in numbers.

West Valley

Today I got to go and open the West Valley store. I was fine with the idea of going down there. I had been interested in seeing how the stores looked after they were remodeled. But, I ran into a few problems while I was there:

1-If I could describe the store in one word, it would be "dirty". At first I was completely impressed by the remodeling since I had seen the store before, it was really nice to see it after. But, as I got to working in it a little more, I noticed that the night crew didn't sweep or mop under any of the tables, the glass was all smudged, there was dried ice cream all of the cabinets and dipping wells, and their back sink looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years!

2-This one had to have a category of its own, the Freezer. First off, when you first walk into it, the floor sinks a little. Does that make anyone feel safe? Then, it is really really messy. There is opened boxes all over the floor. Third, the freezer door comes off the ground higher than the one at my store. Normally when I just need to look into the freezer, I catch the door with my foot. With this one, the back of my heel went right underneath it, scratching up the entire back of my foot. While searching for a band-aid, the cut bled through my sock! I finally had to resort to going out to my car and getting out the Traveling First-Aid kit that mom put in my stocking last year, that stays in my glove compartment.

3- Since it is a remodeled store, they also make new sundaes, etc... When I first saw them, I was a little nervous. Justin told me that I wouldn't have any problem since people hardly ever ordered them anyways, but if they did, there was a book explaining how to make all of them. I SWEAR, I had to make every single one of those stupid new sundaes! I as not very happy about it.

4-EVERYONE in West Valley either wants a Banana Split, or a Banana Royale, or one of the new sundaes that comes with a banana. I can't not even tell you how many I had to make of those today. Luckily, I had plenty of bananas, so I didn't run out, but I ran out of strawberry topping. They hadn't thought of thawing any the night before!

5-Since West Valley's freezer is such a mess, they have old flavors that have long since left the other stores, such as America's Birthday cake (avaliable in July), Black Walnut (March-ish), Happy Camper (summer months) and they haven't been able to get ride of Triple Play either. GROSS! And, every day they go to the store and buy more Whip Cream cans, when they have two boxes full of them in the freezer!

6-I was scheduled to work from 9-5. It was a little hard getting started since I didn't know where things were or what I was doing with half of the things. I felt like a chicken running around with my head cut off. I was supposed to have help at 3:00, but for the second day in a row, my help has decided not to show up. Luckily, he only thought that his shift started an hour later, so he eventually made it, but I was completely pissed off at him when he finally did show up and we had never even met yet!

On the upside to this day, the customers in West Valley were very nice to me. They were very patient with me looking for things, or having to stop and look up how to make what they ordered. I didn't have one customer yell at me at all today. They never even seemed to be irritated at all. Many of them tipped me. I made almost $10 in tips. My day would have been A LOT worse if every customer had started yelling at me. All in all, I made it through it okay, and as far as I know, I won't need to go back any time soon!! :)

New Phone!

I went to T-mobile and got another phone today. I lost all of my contact information, pictures and songs that I had on my phone, but that can all pretty much be replaced. Just don't be offended if I don't know who is calling me right off.

Sick

I haven't really been feeling very well this week anyway. About four or five days ago, I pinched a nerve in my lower back. A few days after that, I kinked my neck. I have gotten a sore throat and running nose this week as well, and off and on, I have been sick to my stomache. Today, when I was supposed to be enjoying turkey and great family company, I felt crappy and couldn't eat. Allison fixed my back for me. She had to put a lot of my ribs back into place, and about 8 of the vertebra in my neck, but eventually I also ended up throwing up everything that I had tried to eat.

I was laying on the couch when I threw up. Mainly all over myself and my blanket. I threw up two times and tried to call for help, but no one heard me. After the third time, I yelled, "Somebody help me!" Kjersti came running into the room and then yelled into the other room that we needed a throw up bowl, after she got to watch me throw up the fourth time.

Allison had me get up and go to the bathroom. She said that she would wash all of my clothes and my blankets as I cleaned myself up. As I was taking my shower, I realized that my cell phone had still been in the pocket of my jacket. Kjersti ran downstairs to turn off the water, but it is too late. My phone is ruined. Then I threw up another five times in the bathroom.

I have had to lay down in my room and try not to throw up all day instead of hanging out with my family. It really has not been a pleasant experience. The only good news is, that I think the worst is now over. I have been able to get a cup of applesauce and, so far, it is staying down. Good thing too, because I have to be back to work tomorrow. (and figure out a way to get a new cell phone.)

Thank you everyone for helping me feel better today. I really appreciate it. I also wanted everyone to know that I don't blame anyone for what happened to my phone. It was just a bad day. I am sorry that I missed out hanging out with everyone. I am especially sad that I didn't get to really hang out with Allie while she was here. But, thanks for playing the family duet one more time so that I could join in. :)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! I hope that everyone has a great day! I know we are not having our Thanksgiving dinner until tomorrow, but I still get the day off today! I have always loved Thanksgiving, because it is a time when all of our family gets together. This year, we will have the two new additions to the family too! It is going to be a lot of fun!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Yesterday was crazy at work. I had a bunch of Thanksgiving orders to do, along with trying to fill the case back up. We were extremely busy, and I actually had to call for help. But, one of the cakes that I had to make for Thanksgiving looked like this:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Personally, I am not a big fan of this cake. I think that it is kind of funny, but I would never personally order it. If I wanted a turkey cake, I would order one of the colorful, cute turkeys, not the already cooked, ugly turkeys. But that might just be me.
