The Customer isn't always right

Last week while my boss was training two new girls at Baskin, we got pretty busy, so my boss stopped what he was doing to help us with our rush. During that time, a kid in about Jr. High that always comes in came in with his mom. Justin recognized the kid so he said hello to the kid and got his ice cream without having to be told what the kid wanted, since he always gets the same thing. I helped the kid's mother to help the line go faster. The lady took her son home and then came back to yell at Justin. She wanted his name to report to the owner since Justin was being "too friendly with a minor." She said that he had an unacceptible tone with minors and that he should never greet younger children without greeting the adult that they are with. She also was mad that I had been the one that helped her because that furhter proved to her that Justin had only wanted to talk to her son instead of her. When Justin finally got a word in to tell her that he WAS the owner, she made him write down his name and phone number so that she got report him to the FBI. He shook his head and wrote it down for her. She said, "Don't laugh! This is very serious! You could go to jail for six years for something like this!" Before she left she yelled at Justin that if her son ever came in again, he wasn't to talk to him, or help him. He was to make sure that one of the girls helped him. Justin agreed and she stormed out of the store.

Can you say "mental illness?"

Yeah, I'd say that mom is a freak. You'd think that a woman would be HAPPY with someone being so nice to her son. I'm all for looking after your children, but this is paranoia at it's finest.

I agree with Dad... your boss should have tossed her out. She was no longer welcome...
