45 minute phone call

Will called back later that night. We talked for 45 minutes. It was great to be able to just talk to him again. He told me stories about how one of the guys in his district sleep walks, and they had woken up to find him chewing on a book. His brother also snuck into the MTC to see Will while he was still there. He also kept saying things to me in Portugese so I couldn't understand him. He had fun with that. However, the only downside to this is that I really miss him again. I mean, I always miss him, but it kind of made things worse. It is like the first few weeks all over again. Oh well.

I like Will and I am especially glad that he is so considerate of you. He has been good to write to you every week and he called you when he didn't call anyone else except his mom. I also like it that you didn't let rules stand in the way of your going to see him at the airport. Just think what you would have missed if you had just sat back and said, "Oh well, it is against the rules for me to see him off at the airport." Way to go, Chelsee. You are a really good friend to him and he'll appreciate your letters and packages more and more the longer he is away from home.

I agree with mom. I think it's awesome that you and Will write letters back and forth and that he's given you something to look forward to during the week. I loved getting letters from my missionary friends. The hardest part must be not knowing how he feels about you and trying not to read into every little thing. But even if you guys are just friends, I think something like this will solidify your friendship for a long time. You'll be someone that he'll always remeber as a huge support during a time that can't be easy.
