Harry Potter

I think people like this are dumb. I sometimes go to mugglenet.com to check up on the updates for Harry Potter. Today I read an article telling about a woman that tried to have all six of the Harry Potter books removed from school libraries. She said they are full of "evil themes, witchcraft, demonic activity, murder, evil blood sacrifice, spells and are teaching children all of this." She hasn't actually ever read any of them because she said that they were too long, but she took this matter to court. Needless to say, she lost. Harry Potter has remained in school libraries, but she is appealing the case.

I had a dream the other night that the new Harry Potter book was out, and Dad took us all to Barnes and Noble, and as we walked past the bookshelf he plopped one HUGE Harry Potter book into each of our arms--he was buying one for each of us.
So there it was, IN MY HANDS, and I couldn't decide whether to read it (I wanted to read it SO BAD to find out whether or not Harry is the last horcrux) or study for my Boards, which (in the dream) were coming up in 2 days. It was the largest dilemma of my entire life!

You know, people like this have good intentions, but if she hasn't even READ the books, it's sad that she's wasting her time and energy on something that doesn't need to be changed, or be swept away from the children of the world. Harry Potter, like my English teacher at SLCC stated, is the hero of our time. These books are an escape, a fun change from the monotony of life. This woman needs to get an imagination, read a Harry Potter book, and then maybe she won't be so miserable with her own life that she has to crusade about pointless things.
