In order to get Reagan to not be crying in that picture, that is what I was saying. I would bounce her, saying "Bouncing, Bouncing Baby, Cheese!" And pose. It works.

Don't Mind Me...
Okay, I realize that some of this is unfair on my part, but I need to vent about some of my friends for a minute. I keep saying everything is okay, but I am not okay! Since I recently found my blog on google, and I don't know who is reading, I won't say names, but I'm sure you guys will get the basic idea.
Friend #1
It is not okay with me that you and I were best friends, and now we only see each other for two hours every three weeks! Yes, I realize that you just got married, but you married an jerk. Plus, you guys dated for over five years. It's not like we started hanging out all the sudden and he didn't like it. We saw each other one or two times a week for a night. We made dinner, and watched movies, and talked and just had a all around good time. That got restricted to that he needed you to make dinner and eat with him before you came over. And now he says that the two hours a week that we hang out is too much and that it needs to be every two to three weeks. Sometimes I just need my best friend! I want to feel like I matter enough for you to tell your husband that you need to spend some time with me too. I wish you would stand up for me. I love you, and I miss you, but I really feel like we are drifting apart. We use our two hours every three weeks just top catch up on what the other one has been doing in the meantime. I wish I could see you more often.
Friend #2
I just threw you the most amazing bachlorette party ever! EVER! I spent so much time and energy making sure that it actually happened, and I made tons of desserts and everything for you!! And, did I mention that I actually threw you TWO parties. Now, even though you said it would be okay for me to come to the temple when you got married to take pictures, and even though I am SO EXCITED for you, you have told me that your soon to be in-laws have said that the temple needs to be family only. Now, this might be unfair, but last time I checked, it was YOUR WEDDING! I think that if you actually wanted me to be there, you would just let me come. Plus, you are going to be missing out on some amazing pictures! I really just feel taken advantage of right now. I think you should be more greatful for everything that I do for you. I have tried to be a good friend to you. I hope you are happy with yourself.
Friend #3
We wrote each other every week on your mission, why would it be so hard to do the same thing now? I realize your busy, but I don't think you realize how much time and effort I put into making sure you knew what was still happening back home. I honestly feel like my best friend that left on his mission never came back. You and I have grown apart so much that it might be too much for me. That might be drastic, because when you are around, we get along great, but when was the last time that you even just checked on how I was doing or made an attempt to come see me? You can drive from Logan to Ely, about 5 hours, to make it to a friend's mission farewell, but you couldn't come home for my birthday? You didn't even call. I want to believe things can be like they were again, but I'm not holding my breath for you anymore.
Friend #4
I realize that you and I haven't been good friends for a long time now, and you broke up with one of the coolest guys ever, so now we have even less in common. I didn't want to put you in the calender I am making for my friends anyway because I didn't want your ex to have to see pictures of you, but when I asked you if you wanted to be in it, I wish you hadn't said no. That was a confirmation to me exactly how far our friendship has failed. I don't understand how you changed so much, or maybe I am just done giving you the benefit of a doubt that you aren't actually as self-centered as you think you are.
Friend #5
I wish you hadn't given your friend my phone number. He calls me and texts me all the time and I hate it, but I am too worried about offending you to tell either one of you that. I wish you treated me better. You and I are really the best of friends when we aren't fighting. Too bad we always do.
Friend #6
You are one of the most shelfish people I know! (Only rivaled by Friend #4) I know you and your boyfriend have problems, but you know how to fix it and just don't. You like playing the victim with everything because you like people to feel bad for you. You talk badly about everyone, but still expect them to be so nice to you and listen about fight #367,898,674 between you and your boyfriend. You guys fight more than there are sequels for the Land Before Time, and no one at work cares! And, your brother drives me more crazxy than you do! I have told him to stop calling me, but he won't.
Friend #7
You and I haven't been friends for years, but I have been holding on to you for too long. We were best friends and I wanted to think that it was all just a big misunderstanding and it would go away. If you couldn't trust him, you two shouldn't have gotten married because the thought hadn't ever even crossed my mind. And, if you really didn't trust me that much, you and I were obviously never the friends that I thought we were. Your ready to apologize and be friends again, and even though that is what I wanted, I realized that you waited too long to try and come back.
So, I am done trying so hard. I'm done trying at all with some of you. I still have great memories of you guys, but I am done thinking that is enough for how some of you treat me. If you want to be my friend, then just show me. Don't assume that I know, because I don't. All I want to feel is that you actually give a damn. Is that really so much to ask? If it is, then this is over. I can't hold a friendship alone.

Cute Pictures
Here are some cute pictures I took this week for my photography assignment that I wanted to share with the family.

I just love this one of Reagan. She is so cute!! And she is getting so big so fast!

I went to lunch with Danae, Isaac, Kjersti, Jay, Kameryn and Reagan. Isaac was so cute in the car! He saw that I had my camera and kept wanting me to take pictures of him. He kept saying "Smile!" and "Cheese!" and then he would say, "Me see" so that I would show him the pictures I took.
We were trying to re-take that family portrait picture that Kjersti loves but also add in Reagan.

Halloween and Pole Dancing
I spent my Halloween getting ready for the Bachlorette Parry I was going to be throwing my friend Sarah from work. I planned to stay home, clean my apartment, make the desserts for my party, and give out candy to the trick-or-treaters.

It was a good thing that I invited people over to help keep me company since I ended up only getting one trick-or-treater! I had bought two boxes of regular sized candy bars, and only got one trick-or-treater!! It was nice to have Kjersti, Jay, Kameryn and Reagan over to see me. And Geoffrey helped me clean up since I bribed him with pizza and rootbeer.

After everyone else left, some of my friends came over later as I finished cleaning up and making desserts. My friends got to test out my cooking right out of the oven. :) I made chocolate chip cookies, brownies, muddy buddies, fudge and Amanda's chocolate powder sugar cookies that night and some chocolate covered strawberries the next day for the party. :)
This is the group that was invited to Sarah's Bachlorette Party. I actually threw her two, since we wanted to invite some people from work, but the pole dancing one was really expensive and Sarah didn't want to play some of the games that we did with the little 17-year olds that work with us. And, there was one girl that wanted to bring her baby pole dancing with us! Needless to say, she got B-Listed to the other cheap party. :)
Sarah is getting married on Nov. 20th. She was looking at ideas for Bachlorette Parties and founf this studio that taught pole dancing. She gave me the name and the website, and I made it happen.
I don't think I have ever been so sore in my life, but it was so much fun. Everyone I invited showed up and I think that everyone had a really fun time. None of us had ever done anything like this before, so even though we were all a little uncomfortable at first, we all learned together.
Even though Natalie and Sarah don't know each other very well, I invited Natalie anyways. I had wanted to throw Natalie a Bachlorette Party too, but one of her other friends did it instead. So, in my head, I kind of felt like this was for both of them.
This is Karly. She helped me get the deposit in for the pole dancing class, and actually split the cost with me so that we could afford to do it!
This is Amanda. She is the manager at Taylorsville, and also Jennifer's sister.
This is Jenny. She is the old manager of Sandy that stepped down and took over doing cakes at my store.
And this is Courtney. She is the one that just got married a little while ago. She is the other cake decorator at my store, and is Jenny's sister. Some people think they look like twins, but they are actually six years apart.
This is one of our two instructors. I thought that pole dancing was so beautiful. When I described it like that to Kjersti she was really suprised to hear me say that, but I really thought it was. It was elegant and graceful... and A LOT HARDER THAN IT LOOKS!
This was something that I couldn't do. I didn't have enough arm strength to hold myself on the pole like that. Go Natalie and a few of the other girls that could though!
I felt like I was in America's Next Top Model when they started teaching us how to walk across the room sexy.
And crawl across the room sexy. They also threw in a lesson on lap dances, but I didn't take any pictures of that...
This is the other instructor. She was amazing! Most of the time though, I just had to watch her because there was no way I could do that!!
I had a great time! I would recommend it to anyone that wanted to go. I am thinking about taking classes. It was a great work out and I just overall really enjoyed myself. After the pole dancing, we went back to my apartment and played some games and ate my desserts. We played I Never... and Dirty Minds (which is a game that gives you really bad clues but then is something not bad.) So, they would say something, like "I go limp when not in use" and the answer is a hose. Or, something like, "you can usually find me blowing someone in any hotel room" and the answer is a blow dryer. Sarah, Natalie and I were all on the same team so we totally killed everyone. Then I Never... is where you say something you have never done and try to make other people take a drink if they have. However, since we were acohol free, we played with M&M's. So, I can say, "I have never kissed a girl..." and other people in the room would have to eat an M&M. Good fun. :)Sunday, November 02, 2008
Dropping the Ball
So things are starting to get a little better, but I have been really stressed out about everything lately. Work has been crazy. Not crazy busy, since we are heading into Winter, but just crazy trying to get everything running down at Sandy. I have been training a girl named Ashley for the last couple weeks. I hate training anyways, but it has been especially difficult for me with her since she is left handed. I have to show her how to do it, but then we have to figure out how to have her do it backwards. It has been coming along though and this week Jennifer decided she would see how it would go if she opened by herself. Jennifer said that when she got there at 2:00 that every blender in the store was dirty, the Sundae Bar was a mess and Ashley had only seen and done the order on the top of the pile. She didn't do the rest of them and by the time Jennifer saw that there were more, the other ones were already passed due. On a brigher note, the ones Ashley did do turned out fairly well. We just need to work on the logical part now, like grabbing the whole stack of orders...
I have also been training a new guy named Maurico. He already has a night job and in order to work days at Baskin during the winter you have to do cakes. So, even though he is training on everything else too, I am also training him on cakes. I trained him for 5 hours his first cake shift just on building and icing the cakes. The second day I was supposed to train him, when I got to the store, it was a COMPLETE mess. They had tried to mop the floor without sweeping, and even then, it was only down the middle and someone walked through it so there were footprints in it. There were ice cream spills everywhere, and they left the water in the dipping wells on, so there was water on the floor too. They left the dishwater in the sink and they took out the garbage, but didn't put any garbage bags back in them. There was also a pile of boxes next to the door that they were supposed to take out to the dumspter and didn't. Needless to say, when you arrive to that, your not going to be in the best mood. When the guy showed up a little after me, I was venting about how bad the close was. Since I hadn't done the morning paperwork, I didn't know that I was complaining to the guy that did it. I was a little embarrassed when he told me that it was his fault, because I never would have been that blunt with him if I had known. But, I guess on the other hand, it was good for him to hear how bad it really was, and that he wasn't going to be able to get away with doing that. Anyways, how he came to do such a bad close is another very long story with only a he said, she said basis, so I'll skip it. But, anyways, while I am stressing out about the mess, and trying to clean it up, I ask him to just start building and frosting cakes while I take care of it and do the paperwork, etc... and he has NO IDEA what I am talking about! He doesn't know what sizes anything is, or what flavors, or that we write on the bottom of the board before we build the cakes or that we need to smooth them down or ANYTHING. At this point, I am thinking that he is a worthless pile of shit that is just waisting my time. I even ended up sending him home early. Since he was supposed to be training on cakes, I was helping all the customers that came in. I noticed while I was helping people that he has disappeared into the back. When I was finished with my customer and the one after that, I went into the back to find him sitting down in the office, texting on his phone. With all of that in one day I had DEFINITELY had enough of him, so I told him to leave. I also called Jennifer and told her about everything and that if she wanted him to continue training on cakes, then she was going to have to do it herself because I wasn't going to waste any more of my time with him.
Aside from all of the work stuff, I have also been working my butt off at school. I have been planning a bachlorette party for Sarah, the manager at 4th, and so I have been trying to get my apartment clean and make the desserts, etc... I have always babysit on the weekdays, but lately, I have been so tired with everything that I have been getting up later. And, to make things worse, they closed the freeway exit that I normally take to get to their house, so I am always later that way too. Anyways, I have only gotten him to school late twice this school year, but Karen called me and gave me a guilt trip about how hard of a time Will is having and how it stresses him out to be so late getting to school, and that I need to be there to make sure he is eating etc... I said that I was sorry and that I was trying my best. She asked me to please just come 15 minutes earlier in the morning, so I set my alarm earlier, but was just so physically exhasted that I slept right through it! So, even though I got him to school right on time, and took her legal papers into her attorney, she still called me and had another talk with me about all of it. I realize that it is my fault and that I need to get there eairler. My problem is just that I am doing the best I can! I have so much going on, that I just don't know what else to do besides what I am doing. However, I had Kjersti and Jay call me the next morning to help get me up and I have been earlier since then, but I am just really stressed.
I just feel like I am dropping the ball. I am not the kind of person to half ass anything. If I say I am doing my best, then I really am trying my best. so, even though Karen was right, I felt like she was being unfair to me. I called Justin when I got to work that day just crying and asked him if he still thought I was doing a good job. Even though I know I am a good cake decorator, since I am down in Sandy to train people so I can leave again, and then the people I am training suck, I feel like that reflects back on me. He said that I was doing fine and that it takes time to get good people to open. He says no one opens perfectly the first time that they do it, and that since Maurico is new, it was just going to take him longer to catch on then anyone else I have ever trained. He has a way of calming me down that I really appreciate. Anyways, things are starting to pick up. I am finding more time for myself, and Sarah's Bachlorette Party was a blast, but I will save that for another post. I just wanted to let people know what was going on with me since it has been so long since I have blogged.
