Week One

For the next couple of weeks, in my Photographying People class, we are all supposed to take turns bringing in people that we know into class and taking pictures of people that we don't know. We are supposed to practice posing them and learning how to talk to them to make them comfortable, etc...

I feel like I am usually pretty shy with people that I don't know and have a hard time telling them what to do. I am working at getting better at it though. I can't be a portrait photographer if I don't know how to talk to people.

This was an aciddental shot, but I still really like it. :)

I love this one, but someone else posed her that way and I stole the idea, so... I don't know how much credit I can actually take for it.

Sarah is amazing! She always drops everything and comes and helps me when I need help with homework or pictures or anything. She normally sleeps in until 3 0r 4 pm since she stays up so late at night. However, she was here bright and early at 9 am so that I could meet the requirements of bringing someone in to class to have other people take pictures of. Another girl that I had asked slept through it.

I had a really hard time with this girl. She was deaf, and while I was taking pictures of her, her interpretor had to go off and do something else. Hopefully, she still likes the pictures though!

This definitely was an interesting experience. We did it again this week and I think I did a better job, and I will post those pictures soon. One more thing about this week though, is that I realized that I always take pictures of girls! And I actually really loved working with those first to guys! I need to spend more time taking pictures of guys, because you actually do things differently. Anyways, that is all for now! More to come soon!
